Santa Barbara is known as the “California Riviera.” Surrounded by beaches and mountains, it is a beautiful place to study English. Santa Barbara is centrally located within easy access of Los Angeles, Hollywood, and Malibu to the south. To the north is San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

Explore Hollywood or downtown Los Angeles. Visit Disneyland and Universal Studios for a great American cultural experience. Go to a Los Angeles Lakers or Clippers game. Or, just stay locally in Santa Barbara and visit some of the many shops, museums and parks.
Program participants arrive at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and are picked up and transported to Santa Barbara. A homestay experience will give you a chance to practice English and allow you to become part of an American family!

Take classes with students from around the world by day and mingle with Americans on nights and weekends. A truly wonderful experience!

ESL Program Options (4 weeks)
Intensive ESL: Enroll in English language classes five hours per day on Monday through Friday. Total of 25 hours per week of instruction. Program requires an F-1 student visa.

Universal Program: Enroll in English language classes three hours per day on Monday through Friday. Enjoy a more relaxed learning approach taking time to enjoy the California lifestyle. Total of 15 hours per week. Program requires a B visa.

Specialized Program Options (4 weeks)
TOEFL Preparation: Enroll in an intensive preparation course to help raise your exam score. Learn about each of the components of the TOEFL. Take a practice exam to help define your language proficiency weaknesses and strengths. Total of 25 hours per week of instruction. Program requires an F-1 student visa.

Business English: Enroll in a specially designed language program that focuses on understanding the vocabulary and terminology of Business English. Perfect for individuals looking to enhance and expand their fluency in order to gain an internship or job in the USA. Total of 25 hours per week of instruction. Program requires an F-1 student visa.
